A Tip for Your QuickBooks Account List
ManagePLUS lets you enter
physical quantities in the Memo field of your transactions. For
QuickBooks users this is particularly useful for income
transactions, because it lets you record quantities directly in the
Deposits window without taking the extra step of preparing an
Invoice or Cash Sales Receipt.
If you choose to enter quantities in the Memo field, here's a tip
that can help you remember what quantity unit is appropriate
for every transaction: Add the unit name to the end of the
Account name.
Here are some examples:
- Sales:Grain (bu.)
- Sales:Grain (cwt.)
- Sales:Hay (tons)
If you ever forget what unit is appropriate to use when entering
quantities for a particular Account, all you need to do is look at
the name!
