I have the personal expenses set up in an equity account as "the Cookbook" recommends, however I am disappointed that I am not able to breakdown personal spending so I can monitor that like I was in Money. For instance I had my Food catagory broken into 8 subcatagories. Any ideas how I might pull this off in quickbooks???

Any QuickBooks account may have subaccounts, several levels deep. Simply set up those eight Food categories as subaccounts of your "Food" equity account.

I love the Cookbook, it's very helpful.
