The Directory Listing Form
The form provided at the end of this topic is required for adding a listing.
Besides serving as a guide and checklist for providing information, it assures that your listing is searchable as described in the sticky topic How to Search this Directory.
Adding a New Listing
Log in with your forum User ID and Password. (If you don't have these, you'll need to Register as a forum user first, using the Register link toward the top of this page.)
Copy the form from the end of this topic--everything below the double dashed lines--to the clipboard of your computer. In Windows, highlight the form's contents, then type Ctrl-C.
Navigate to the category where you want to add a listing.
Click on the New Thread button.
Type in your business name as the name for the thread.
Paste the form from your computer's clipboard into the editor window. In Windows, type Ctrl-V.
Add your information to the form's fields. You may also add additional information/descriptions.You may submit images with your listing. There's an Insert Image icon among the listing edit window's commands, and it lets you link to an image on your Web site. If you don't have a Web site, there's also a Manage Attachments icon for uploading images and documents.
To keep your listing searchable...
Be sure to observe the content suggestions for each field, provided in italics on the line immediately below most fields. In most cases, this will be (Yes/No)...meaning you should either answer Yes or No in the field. You may include extra description following the Yes or No without hurting the field's search capability, for example: We provide QuickBooks support on-site, as your location=Yes, within 50 miles of our office.
Don't include blank spaces around the equal sign. (See the How to Search the Directory topic to understand why.)
You may delete the italic comments and unneeded lines from the form to reduce clutter and make your listing easier to read.
When your listing is complete, click on the Submit New Thread button.
