How to Add a Listing

Anyone offering a product, service, or information is welcome to submit a listing to the Directory, so long as it conforms to the Directory Listing Rules described later in this topic. To submit a listing:


Register as a user in these forums, then log in with your User ID and Password.



Navigate to the QuickBooks Resources Directory category where you wish to submit a listing.



Visit the Directory Listing Form sticky topic and follow the instructions there to create your listing.

Note: Your listing will not appear immediately after you submit it. All listings are moderated, meaning they must be approved by a forum moderator before they appear for public viewing...so check back in a day or so, to see your listing. (If your listing is not approved you will receive email from a moderator.)

If you have problems, report them to support@goflagship.com.


How to Edit or Delete a Listing

You can edit your listing at any time. Here's how:


Log into our forums with the same User ID as you used for creating the listing. This is the only User ID which will be permitted to edit your listing.



Navigate to your listing.



Click on the Edit button at the bottom of the listing. (When you get to the Edit window you'll see that it also has a Delete button, in case you wish to delete the listing.)

Note: If you wish to move a listing to a different category, contact a moderator. Or, you may delete the listing from one category, then add it as a new listing in a different category.

Directory Listing Rules

Our goal is to connect our site's visitors with products and services of interest to them, while avoiding "directory spam"--irrelevant or advertising-only entries which fail to identify product and service offerings described by our Directory categories. We apply the following rules to directory listings:


Listings are free--no cost to anyone.



Listings must include the fields from our Directory Listing Form sticky topic, however, they may include any other information you feel is helpful...feel free to be creative!



No more than two listings per business or individual are allowed in the entire Directory; except Flagship Technologies, Inc. dealers are allowed up to three listings, provided one of them is in the Flagship Technologies Dealers category.



Do not submit listings which attempt to spam searches, by including superfluous or misleading information. See the Do NOT Spam the Listings heading, below.



We reserve the right to reject any listing, for any reason.


Do NOT Spam the Listings!

Specifically, do not duplicate listing fields unnecessarily in an attempt to have your listing found by more searches.

An example? Suppose you added a State= line for all 50 states to your listing, like this:

State=AL
State=AK
State=AZ
.
.
.
State=WI
State=WY
Doing so would mean that your listing is always found when someone searches using a State= phrase in their search string. (More correctly, it would produce that result if we accepted your listing, which we wouldn't.)

However, there are situations when it is reasonable to duplicate the listing form's fields. One would be if your company has multiple physical locations. In that case, you can reasonably provide contact information for each of those locations. For example:

Business Name=First-in-Line Computer Services
Address=123 Chestnut Road
City=Madison
State=WI
Zip=77777
