We have quickbooks contractors version 2009 and have 408 mb of storage
used. We are obviously over the capacity. However we have years of data and our business model has changed in the last two years so a lot of the old data is not needed. But the financial ledger and cost catagories are needed and are extensive. We have a computer dedicated to the quickbooks program. I suggested that we start a new company under the 2009 version and transfer the set up and 2 years of data, they said we could not. We have been told that we must purchase the enterprise version ( 5 Gigs) for 2100.00 as the only fix. Any ideas besides buying a program that large, they said they have nothing inbetween. Any suggestions? |

Ask this same question over in the Forums at www.QuickBooksUsers.com--ask in the 3rd Party Tools area.
Some 3rd-party QuickBooks tools exist that can help you migrate part of your QuickBooks data to a new company file, and some of the vendors there should be able to help...and for a lot less than $2,100.
