Default Item-triggered results in a Header field?

[Duplicated from email support]

Hello,

I have a result in a triggered formula field, is there any way to get the result into a header field.

From my reading it looks impossible, am I missing a trick?

Thanks
Karim M.

Karim,

Usually it is possible to put a trigger-field result in a Header field. You need to enter essentially the same formula, but enter it directly in the Header field (i.e, a Header formula cannot reference a triggered formula--which you are correct in noting).

For instance if the trigger field totals a column, you should be able to get the same column total in a Header field. Just understand that Header fields can only refer to, say, a sum of an entire column of the invoice, not just a part of it as a trigger field can.

If you have trouble, email us the text of the trigger formula you are using.

Sorry to bother. Of course it does. Works a treat.

Thanks
