Flagship
Technologies launches a new Web site, with added features and a
new address: www.goflagship.com... |
MADISON, MO -- Flagship Technologies, Inc. announces their new
Web site with an updated look and added features/services which will
benefit Flagship and Flagship's customers in several ways:

Flagship's Web site is now operating within its own domain
name, www.goflagship.com.
The new name is more memorable and easier to type than the site's
old address.

The Web site has been completely restructured.
The new
design makes it easier to add new content as well as keep existing
content up-to-date. This will allow the site to be changed more
quickly in the future to better serve customer needs.

New features have been added,
the most important of which
are discussion forums
for posting questions and answers about farm accounting with
QuickBooks, and for technical and pre-sales questions and answers
concerning ManagePLUS.
- The site's navigational features have been improved
to give
visitors easier access to everything on the site.
Where We've Come From...
Why the Changes? Why Now?
"We were a sub-site of @gOnline (www.agriculture.com),
the Web site operated by Successful Farming magazine, almost since
the beginning of that site's existence. Early on we provided market
analysis content on their site, based mostly on our On
Course software product, in exchange for them housing our site
within theirs," said Flagship's president, Mark Wilsdorf.
"The people at Successful Farming have been very good to
us," he continued, "but over time our needs have changed.
Increasingly, we've found a need to have direct control over the
technologies used on our Web site, and that's not easy when you're
part of someone else's domain. The time had come to move to our own
domain."
"We decided to restructure the site while moving it, partly
because that's the easiest time to make major changes and partly
because our old site design was growing ever more difficult to
maintain as we added content. The new structure should serve us well
for the foreseeable future and allow changes to be made more quickly
as our needs--and those of our customers--dictate."
"We've only done a minor face lift in terms of the site's
overall 'look'," Wilsdorf said, "but those who frequent
our site will notice a major change in the site's navigational
controls. Now, usually just one or two mouse clicks are necessary to
reach any page on the site--a big improvement in ease of use."
