ManagePLUS Design Philosophy

Here's what drives every design decision in ManagePLUS:

  1. ManagePLUS should help you get as much management information as possible from the records you already have.

  2. Only after that should it encourage a change in your accounting practices to get even higher levels of management information.

For ManagePLUS users this means several things:

  • ManagePLUS is not a full-fledged managerial accounting system.
     
  • Because it isn't, ManagePLUS lets you avoid the high level of accounting expertise and constant attention to detail necessary for comprehensive managerial accounting records. You can focus on just the parts of your business where you want better management information.
     
  • However, if you do have a high level of detail in your records, ManagePLUS will go the extra mile to derive useful management information from it!
     

Features List

  • Integrates seamlessly with QuickBooks. ManagePLUS grabs a "snapshot" of your lists or transactions at the click of a mouse button.
     
  • Allows two quantities per transaction, such as a "count" and a weight or volume.
     
    Farm business example:  Enter livestock weights and number bought or sold, and ManagePLUS can give you total weight sold, total number sold, average selling weight, average revenue per head, and average selling price per pound.
     
  • Extracts quantity information from the Memo or Description field of any income or expense transaction. You may enter quantities in QuickBooks by using QuickBooks Items, the Memo or Description field, or both.
     
  • Supports entering quantities as mathematical formulas in the Memo or Description field, which keeps calculation details with the transaction for later review.
     
  • Lets you define production or use as a basis for analysis of Classes, such as "300 acres" for the Corn Class, or "100 head" with the Beef Cow Class...for reports with detailed information on costs per-acre, per-head, per-hour, etc.
     
  • Works with any arrangement of the Chart of Accounts and Classes list. ManagePLUS conforms to the way your records are set up, not the other way around.
     
  • Keep as little or as much detail as you want. Want detailed cost analysis on just part of your business? Then tag transactions related to that area with a Class, and ManagePLUS reports will show revenue and costs for that Class on any basis of analysis you choose.
     
  • Reports can have quantity totals, information, and statistics, for accounts and for Classes.
     
  • Customizable reports let you control the sections to include, and how they are formatted.
     
  • Full print preview lets you browse reports on screen before printing.
     
  • Reports can be exported to Microsoft Excel, making it easy to store them as separate files and to change them to suit your needs outside of ManagePLUS.
     
  • A comprehensive Help system is integrated within the ManagePLUS program. It's also available as a .PDF file if you want a printed manual, and there's an online version if you want to see it right now (opens in its own browser window).
     
  • Product support is available in our Discussion Forums, where you can ask questions or search questions already asked and answered by others, and by direct email.
     
  • Try ManagePLUS for Free. You can install and use the full version of ManagePLUS on your own computer for free, for up to 30 days. If you decide to continue using it you simply purchase a ManagePLUS license, which provides you with a User ID and Registration code that let you continue using ManagePLUS as you were...there's no additional software to install, and the information you've entered in ManagePLUS is still there.

  • Works with Pro, Premier, and Enterprise Solutions editions of U.S. QuickBooks 2003 and later versions.
     
  • Requires Microsoft Windows 95 or later.
     
  • The same computer requirements as QuickBooks, plus 15 mb hard drive space for the ManagePLUS program and files.
