Working with the Farm Business

When you install ManagePLUS, one or more sample QuickBooks
company files are also installed. This article tells how to work
through steps in the Quick Start Tutorials topic
of the ManagePLUS Help system, using the mpfarmexample.qbw sample file.

this file. If you're not sure where to find it, the Quick

2. Selecting an
accounting period
In the current version of mpfarmexample.qbw, all transactions
are dated in the year 2007, so define the accounting period in
ManagePLUS as 1/1/2007 - 12/31/2007.

the Chart of Accounts list
On the Chart of Accounts tab in ManagePLUS, after refreshing
accounts from QuickBooks...enter units of measure (UOM) for accounts where a unit of measure is appropriate.
(Reports will only show quantities for accounts which have a UOM
associated with them.)

QuickBooks...enter production/use bases and units of measure
for classes that will be analyzed on a per-unit basis on

printing a report
No special instructions here, but if you want to see a report
based on the sample company's transactions and the account and class
data above, visit the ManagePLUS Reports
